Recognized as one of the largest trade & cultural show in the West, the Asian American Expo 2006 now in its 8th anniversary is slated for June 17th (Saturday) and June 18th (Sunday) at the San Mateo Expo Center. Every year more than 40,000 Asian consumers are expected to attend this special spectacular and exciting show.

Twenty-five years ago, the Rosemead-based Chinese Overseas Marketing Service, Inc. organized the Asian American Expo to share a living cultural heritage and to promote a better understanding among people of different backgrounds through the celebration of the Asian Lunar New Year Festival in Southern California. Since then the show had grown and expanded into the Northern California region. Thus the Asian American Expo is held twice a year – Southern California in the early part of the year and Northern California in the middle part of the year. The Northern California show features more than 200 booths showcasing services in the financial, insurance, medical, health, telecommunication, banking, etc. Featured products come in the wide range of cosmetics, health food, jewelry, show cars, hi-tech electronic and computer equipment/accessories, household equipment, etc.

“The Expo successfully builds a two-way dialogue between the Asian booming market and the U.S. marketers,” says Mr. Alan Kao, President of the Company. “It also provides positive direct one-on-one contact opportunities between sellers and consumers.”

The Expo also offers one large food court where authentic traditional Asian foods are sold. Food lovers will have an opportunity to sample a wide selection of mouthwatering Asian delicacies to tease their taste buds. They can look forward to delicious food like Chinese Chow-Mien, Chicken, Beef, Vegetables, Dumplings, Pot Stickers, Tapioca Pearl Drinks, Japanese sushi, etc

The Expo offers exciting, dramatic, colorful and spectacular live musical and performances on the 3 stages set up throughout the hall. They are being performed non-stop for the both show days. We have more than 20 groups of entertainers and performers to entertain the crowds As for this year’s highlights we have invited a very famous singer from Taiwan to perform a live concert. Other programs include Chinese Opera Dance, Bridal Modeling Show, Martial Arts Demonstration, Social Ballroom Dancing, Lion Dance, Karaoke Singing Contest, Chinese Opera Singing and many others.

Admission tickets for the show are sold only on the show site at the ticket booths. The charges for admission are $8.00 for adults; $6.00 for senior citizens and children ages 3 onwards. Our Company is offering a $1.00 off discount coupon tickets which can be picked up at our offices in Union City and Burlingame.
